Keysight 86107A | Precision timebase reference module.

The precision timebase reduces the residual jitter of the 86100D measurement system from 1 ps to less than 100 fs in most configurations. It is essential for low jitter analysis of most high-performance electrical signals at rates above 10 Gb/s and optical signals at rates above 20 Gb/s. For 86100D configurations that require high channel counts, 86100 option PTB integrates the precision timebase into the 86100 mainframe, allowing up to 16 measurement channels.

  • Type: synchronous clock, square wave to sine wave shape
  • Characteristic levels: 0.2 - 1.5Vpp
  • Trigger range: 2 to 48 GHz (depends on options)
  • Electrical Input: 3.5 mm male (2.4 mm male for frequencies > 25 GHz BW)

Timebase Jitter

  • < 100 fs rms (for frequencies > 4 GHz)
  • < 280 fs rms (for frequencies < 4 GHz)
